The cargo handling process begins with unloading bulk materials from vessels using advanced Harbour Mobile Cranes (HMC) at the jetty. Once unloaded, the cargo is moved to the stockyard using payloaders and dumpers. For dispatch, the cargo is loaded into empty railway wagons placed on in-terminal tracks, ensuring efficient, safe, and timely movement of goods.
After unloading bulk material from vessels using the HMC, the cargo will be stored in the stackyard by use of conveyors and stacker-reclaimers. At the time of delivery, the reclaimer will transfer cargo to conveyors which ultimately connect to the in-motion wagon loading silos (IMWLS).
After rake loading, tarpaulin sheets are manually placed over stacked cargo in wagons to ensure weather protection during transit, continuing the current semi-mechanized process.
Cargo in the stackyard will also be covered by Tarpaulin to reduce cargo lose.
Includes coordination of loading activities, documentation assistance, movement tracking, and support services essential for smooth and timely dispatch of cargo.
